To go from being one of the not as well known maps to being Chancellor he has done a great job in 5 weeks,
Such a calm yet educated guy who knows how to deliver speeches and knows how to protect the people (hopefully his words deliver which I think they will) and wants to do what is best for the country. He has gained a lot of respect from me and is a rare politician of recent years someone who you feel you can trust and a future Prime Minister in my eyes .

HOWEVER like I said on the other thread; these are still Tories and whether or not they actually WILL do this is another matter. I have serious concerns that it's a ploy to gain short-term compliance and the rug will be pulled in a month with a "Wups sorry country is broke no money for anyone mend and make do". |

Until the money is in people's accounts it's all words and it would be foolish for anyone to assume otherwise (and to, for example, fail to adequately prepare for the worst). I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying that surely people have been burned often enough to hold their praise until there are tangible outcomes rather than promises.

i think you have to give credit where it is due, and I will say that I think Boris and his team have performed way above my expectations. If it turns out to be lies and deceit, the government wont last until the next election, not in these times

If they go back on these promises, the civil unrest will follow quickly and be probably as damaging as the virus. They could have acted quicker regarding the lock down BUT in such uncharted waters, I feel they are doing as much as is possible.

Yes i can.
Not people thinking it's some sort of person dependent situation Anybody would do the same bc it's the only way to save the economy. The same as the fact that some other countries do the same and more. Bc there is no other choice. Sky news compared the economic response by governments and UK was somewhere in the middle in terms of the size of rescue. |
