Wise move.
It should always have been shelved to September in my view.

Saaaake.

My one could feasibly go back as there are like 50 pupils lol, but we're still not open to anyone yet they're SEMH and no key worker parents...

We've as yet been given no news at all on my youngest's schooling. She's SEN provision within a mainstream primary school. The school itself will be partially re-opening in August but no news on special needs classes, as there's no way to implement social distancing (and it would frankly be cruel to try). My daughter is fine obvs, a little lonely, but we know how to home educate her and she has her big sister for company. I really fear for some of her classmates who, to be blunt, rely entirely on the education system to make progress... and also those who don't have siblings at home and must feel very isolated. You can't exactly explain a pandemic and lockdown to a 7 year old with communication disabilities .

It's pretty annoying, especially the Nurture department as they've made a lot of progress, and that's going to be completely undone now...

An iconic decision, considering the amount of teachers I've seen interviewed at the protests this weekend.

Without masks may I add.

We were told a couple of weeks ago that there was little to no chance of my sons class going back before September. Its a shame as he is missing his friends but that's all I'm worried about really. He is exceeding expectations at everything and school are doing a fairly good job with the home school work so whilst I'm furloughed with no end in sight at the moment, id rather keep him with me so the vulnerable and key worker kids can be looked after. Just hope they are able to get back in in September as at the moment, I honestly don't see how they will. It's a tiny school that is full to the rafters with no social distancing.

They will probably do a blended model Annie, one week on, one week off kind of thing, that is what is happening in some schools now with the years that have returned

Nightmare!

We are back to the kids need to go to school, their lives are being significantly disadvantaged, and their mental health is being impacted.... quite a turn around from last week, even though a significant percentage have not sent their kids back to the classes that are going on
