Meet Bretagne, a 16-year-old search-and-rescue Golden Retriever who became a hero after 9/11...



she was deployed on her first mission – to find survivors after 9/11...



Bretagne even worked as a therapy dog – once, she even disobeyed her handler’s orders and comforted a distressed firefighter at ground zero...





...never forget those lives lost and how the lives of their loved ones were broken...always recall the heroes.....

I always make sure I watch a lot of youtube footage of it every year on the 11th, did the same today, still is just as terrifying.

Crazy that it will be 20 years next year. And I do think that the world fundamentally changed in some ways that day. The actual structures and systems of power didn't change, of course... but it was certainly the day that "the optimism of the 90's" died in the western world.

Something seems off with the maths there. 16yr old dog became a hero after terror attack that happened 19 years ago?
