I'm not a supporter of him getting it.

To be fair he's a record-breaking sportsman, they usually get honoured in some form.

many successful sportsmen are knighted for services to sport, such as kenny dalglish, andy murray, nick faldo, and not forgetting racing driver Jackie Stewart, so it would be more unusual if he were not knighted
