The Big Breakfast to return for one-off
special nearly 20 years after it ended

[Mo Gilligan will host a one-off special
of TV classic The Big Breakfast, which is
returning to screens nearly 20 years after it ended.
The popular show is being
revived by Channel 4 as part of its newly-announced
Black Takeover day, which the broadcaster
has said is part of its ‘ongoing commitment as
an anti-racist organisation to improve
Black representation on and off-screen
and drive long-term change.
’ Mo said: ‘Like so many of us, I loved The Big Breakfast
and I am so grateful to be asked
to host this special event, particularly
as part of such a hugely thrilling
and history-making day for British television!’
The live special will see Mo joined by
other Black talent and emerging stars.]
