[Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson has been arrested in
connection with an investigation into building
and planning developments in the city.
He is one of five men arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery
and witness intimidation offences
None have been charged or named by Merseyside Police.]

Limted terms for people in politics would make it smell better. You should only be allowed to run as an MP once or twice.

I’d have well respected individuals with proven intelligence in charge of the country .. intellectuals and successful business people , scientists in charge of the health industry etc etc

Well, anybody could run for election, but it comes down to who the people choose.

Corruption ~ what a surprise ! its absolutely everywhere, if they were all arrested councils would have loads of empty seats , so no change there. They all line their own pockets and its not a shock to anyone ~ is it ?
