Her father Steve Irwin tragically died in September 2006 at the age of 44, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland. And several years after his death, his daughter Bindi, 22, revealed how she really felt about the creature responsible for his death. In a resurfaced interview with the late Larry King, the Wildlife Warrior admitted that she holds no resentments towards stingrays. 'I don't, I honestly don't… It was just a crazy accident that happened,' she said. 'Stingrays are really beautiful animals. Dad loved them, we love them and they are important to our environment. And I know dad would be the first person to say "I love stingrays".' Speaking on behalf of his sister, brother Robert said: 'There is one animal Bindi really dislikes… but this animal is interesting because you wouldn’t expect it.' Bindi chimed in: 'I like them, I just struggle with them.' When Larry asked what it was, Bindi admitted she fears bees and wasps adding: 'I always seem to be stung by them'. Bindi is prepared to welcome her first child, a daughter, with husband Chandler Powell in the coming months. And on Wednesday, the wildlife conservationist thanked her fans, friends and family for all their support throughout her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post. 'Sharing our deepest gratitude to YOU reading this message as we get ready for our daughter to arrive,' she began her post. 'The support we have received from your kind comments, Chandler's family in Florida, mine in Oregon, friends across the globe, our amazing Australia Zoo family - it means the world to us.' She continued: 'Baby Wildlife Warrior is already so loved and we are eternally grateful. With all my heart, thank you.' Bindi and Chandler announced they were expecting their first child together in August last year, and revealed a month later they were having a girl.

I know, loved Steve Irwin but I guess you're always taking a big risk dealing with wild animals

I mean, I totally understand why someone would be emotional about it but from a logical standpoint there's no reason to be mad at an animal

As expected for a family famous for working with dangerous predators, I wouldn't expect them to hate an animal for it's base instincts.

I remember when he died , thinking how tragic it was.
Sadly his job was dangerous, but as mentioned the family knew what to expect by working with predatory animals. |
