Prince Charles DIDN'T axe Prince Harry's cash: Duke of Sussex said he was 'cut off' financially after leaving royal life... but Prince of Wales spent 'substantial sum' on him from £4.4m set aside for both sons, accounts show Prince Charles bankrolled the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by a 'substantial sum' in the months following Megxit, despite Harry claiming to Oprah that his family 'literally cut me off financially'. Royal accounts made public for the first time yesterday show that the future king continued to fund Harry and Meghan until the summer of last year from a £4.4million Clarence House pot used to support his two sons and their families. This contradicts Harry's remarks when he told Oprah Winfrey that he stopped getting financial support from his family in the 'first quarter' of last year. He even claimed he and his wife were reduced to living off what 'my mother had left me'. ...... Another lie to add to the list from the Oprah interview. WTH |

it wasn't really a lie because they did stop funding him. He stretched/exaggerated the circumstances for maximum effect though and that seems to be the common theme that runs through all their tell all secrets. Meaning that there is a grain of truth in what they say and the palace has to go into all sorts of pointless detail in order to refute them. H & M know that giving details is not what the palace do, so are playing them for maximum benefit

Some outlets suggested that the statement from Clarence House contradicted Harry's comment during his and Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey in March that his family "literally cut me off financially" after they stepped back.
A spokesperson for Harry and Markle said in a statement to Insider that "it's inaccurate to suggest that there's a contradiction" in Harry and Charles' stories, because Harry was referring to the beginning of the fiscal year in the interview. "The Duke's comments during the Oprah interview were in reference to the first quarter of the fiscal reporting period in the UK, which starts annually in April," the spokesperson said. "This is the same date that the 'transitional year' of the Sandringham agreement began and is aligned with the timeline that Clarence House referenced," the spokesperson added. Because the financial quarter starts at the beginning of summer, Harry's and Charles' accounts of the end of their financial relationship match up. In addition, the royal family's financial report confirmed that Harry and Markle had paid a lump sum of $3.3 million to reimburse the Sovereign Grant for renovations to Frogmore Cottage, where they lived before they stepped back from the royal family. Read the original article on Insider https://uk.news.yahoo.com/prince-har...150256164.html …the tabloids have such desperation to create daily divisive articles for their income …this is obviously a narrative that’s been brewing for a few days when it actually confirms Harry’s account, rather than contradicts…it’s just ever revolving non stories and they’ll just ultimately serve to become those non ‘stories’ that cried Wolf too many times and lead to a disinterest completely if there ever was anything to actually report IMO….. ….I’ll wait to see what Sookie Baxter’s take is on it all anyway…TiBB roving royal reporter who generally has that ‘insider’ stuff that breaks out of the circle …. |

His bitter comment “he literally cut me off financially” and this ‘fiscal timeline’ nonsense was meant to deceive viewers into thinking how awful his father had been to him, when he had been nothing of the sort. He had been paid a ‘substantial sum’ to help with their transition and it stopped when they became financially independent (which they said they wanted to be) with the Netflix and Spotify deals.
“We had to rely on my mother’s money or we wouldn’t have been able to do this ” was a low dig. No mention at all of the financial support of the ‘substantial’ sum from Charles, helping you 'do this' eh? |

Sookie Baxter has only actually managed to get Camilla for comment on this. She has confirmed that Charles can be quite clumsy with these things and has gone on record as saying “He only does it for the lulz” and doesn’t mean anything by it, he’s just a man of his time, and that people are just jealous of his success and his boat anyway. She has also noted that Charles gets much of his humour from his dearly departed father, and that he likes to be called “A much bigger edgelord than Philip anyway” in the bedroom, which gets him rather excited. So not much to go on really. [edit]DISCLAIMER: I have no idea if any of this is true, it’s just what’s been said to have come from royal sources. Last edited by Toy Soldier; 26-06-2021 at 11:53 AM. |

The fact they mentioned it at all is hugely embarrassing. The reason they left was to be financially independant... so at some point he was going to be 'cut off' because he was no longer a senior Royal Harry manipulated the situation to deliberately make his father look bad...but its just proven to be yet another manipulation of the truth. It just doesnt seem to end.... |
