It's not going well is it.
This isn't a big surprise, however he maybe should have hung on to see Just what policies are in the making. I do personally feel that Starmer needs to take on board, most of the policies were good ones and liked by voters. Now, there may have been a Corbyn backlash of the person but even in 2019, I found people saying we like the policies, not Corbyn however and not his Brexit stance. So Starmer would be wiser to look at that. Conference has strong say on policies. Re nationalisation of energy was passed at this one. IF Starmer tries to ignore that, more problems will come. Quite a dilemma for Starmer this. I do think he's the wrong leader. If he wants to continue and it would be unwise probably to see him go now. Then he does need to hold onto a lot more of the policies under Corbyn. The policies were welcomed. Our Brexit position a mess to most voters. The character assassination of Corbyn was awful. However, Starmer fought on that last manifesto, it was similar to 2017s too. So Starmer has a lot of thinking to do. If this time next year, he's still helping fuel problems on the party over policy. That will be a disaster for the weakest, poorest, sick and disabled in society. Honestly Starmer, come on, show some strong passion and not just be leader but actually lead. Hi Smudgie.
You clear know of McDonald more than I do. I do have to say, I was surprised, Starmer kept him in his shadow cabinet. I know Starmer did say he'd hold onto socialist policies. Which we still don't know what the main policies are he will adopt for the next election. That's what conference is for to air ideas and decide policy. I heard little I disliked ROM Rachel Reeves announcements today. Plus I like the workplace ideas which were presented days ago too. We had this with Corbyn, he held onto some in his shadow cabinet who seemed determined to undermine him Just as I think McDonald intended in part. One thing's for sure life is never dull in the Labour party, I can support all wings of the Party, and understand frustrations from them all. However unless we wish to remain only an opposition, because no one else can be, under this absurd electoral system. Then we need to find the way to try to curb our internal squabbles, because the biased media crucified us on every tiny thing. The Conservatives have their internal problems and squabbles too. A more favourable media response to them however. Labour needs to and particularly Starmer, need to wake up find a new narrative and make and stick to policies. Once you chop and change repeatedly as Starmer seems to be doing, it's really irritating at best. |

Starmer really needs to get his act together Joey. We need a strong opposition party, regardless of who is in government. |
