why is it about time he was released? The parole board are usually very quick to release anyone, so they must have a very good reason for keeping him locked up

After suffering years and years of physical and mental abuse during his early years of incarceration. He sees the last 10 years as vindictive punishment by the system for his crimes within the system. There is no justification for keeping him locked up, he has been living inside as a normal prisoner for years now, without any incidents. All he wants to do is paint.
