A severe band of heavy rain is currently tracking eastwards across southern england, accompanying with it some very strong gale force winds, especially along unprotected coastal areas.
Kwik Weather Forecasting Services' Rob Howard added "the worst of the rainfall will hit at around midnight with rainfall totals nearing an inch in some areas, the could cause some flash flooding, especially in areas that recieve heavy rainfall this morning. We are monitoring the situation and advise any persons concerned to contact the environment agency, secondly we have the winds, these could be into gale force along the Channel facing coasts, possibly causing damage to trees, power lines and roofs" For more info visit http://kwfs.info. |
