Default What is the obsession with billboards

could everyone please **** about effing billboards. These days C4 will always be accused of under advertising if they don't shove money out for a billboard which will be driven past and torn and weathered. They only used them a couple of times (most notably BB7, BB4 and BB3).

They're a complete waste of money and ultimately are ignored by most.

well i disagree "complet waste of money" not as expensive as creating ads that are on at set times of the day e.g during a break, and most people at the breaks like to go get a nice drink or quickly changed if needed or phone someone or ign taht letter thats had to be posted for lik the past week.

but with a billboard its in your face like BB and especially in london and manchester and glasgow and cardiff and i think belfast as im from ireland and think they need to brach out over here, its massive, people see it going nd coming back from work, school, shopping, driving lessons etc...

And BB2. And BB3. And CBB2. And BB5. And they are an iconic way of making sure thousands of people see it when they pass by every day. And they are incredibly cheap. Really, they are just awesome.

Sure it's ncie to say they have them and they look nice (for about a week) but how many people actually look at billboards. not many.

Also you can hardly compare them to TV ads, they are necessities, a billboards is just splashing out.

They are cheap and very efficient, less people watch C4 and not many people are seeing the ads, if they are billboards especially in London, thats already millions of people knowing its on. Its the best way imo.

Dont be silly. How can you not look at a billboard if your passing it and it is placed right?

How about at bus stops then that way not only would the adverts not get wet, torn or ruined by the weather but people would look at them while they were waiting for the bus.
