There's an irony in what she's saying. She's suggesting being black in football is somewhat of a handicap, when in reality winning is money, winning is everything, just like all sports really. If you're good, you're good, and clubs wont give a sh!t about your race, religion, nationality, they'll recruit you. It is not harder for a black person to make it in football than it is a white person basically, it's very much equal.

Well no one knew who she was when she actually played football, we only know her now because the broadcasters have to show as many women as possible now. Bonus points for being gay, and non white.

The one area where I'd say being black in Football seems to be a disadvantage is when it comes to management.

I can name on my one hand how many black Managers are in Football, managing major teams.

But like you say, you can name one, there just isn't that many black people in management full stop. The same applies to my point about the players, it wouldn't matter what race a manager is if he were winning, clubs would employ them.

they are probably making too much money in TV and Film to bother

I think that considering how many black people play Football, there probably should have been more opportunities handed to them than there has been imo.

I especially think that a few years back, ex-black Footballers were disadvantaged when getting into Football management, don't get me wrong it's getting better, but it's still not at the level that it probably should be at in my view.

And I am not saying that the clubs should also be hiring black Managers for the sake of it either, but they should be more up for consideration than they are currently I feel.

Controversially I will say that being overrepresented is also an issue.

I say this because it more than likely means that the corporation in question is more concerned with looking good, rather than the quality of their product (whatever that product may be) it's likely to be problematic in execution of the quality.

I actually have a feeling that Troy Deany will be a very successful manager

He’s on a few programs and guest hosts on TalkSport and talks so much sense , so likeable yet gritty and down to earth

I like Troy Deeney, and hope that you're right.

There are three things that he needs to do first though.

1. Learn from his mistakes at Forest Green.

2. Learn these mistakes away from Blues.

And 3. Once he has learned his craft, become Blues Manager.

I think that's a fair arrangement.
