i'm optimistic about a Kamala win, and at the end of the day, it's a positive vibe, and if enough americans feel the same, she will win. It's that simple

Would you still be ok if Kamala was caught on film/ tape bragging about grabbing guy's balls ? . Or would it be unacceptable? Lol . I personally would have the same reaction...as whether it's lockeroom talk or not , it would still be inappropriate.

The thing is. I know that she was a bit of a promiscuous lady. There's lots of her college days stories that she was a frat girl. I didn't even know what a frat girl was, I had to google it. It's more of an American saying than it is a British one. I think we say Slag or slut. Many claims of her sleeping her way to the top too. So yeah. I expect she has some filthy anecdotes to tell her friends. Last edited by Alf; 23-07-2024 at 09:24 PM. |

They all have a past ,I'm not even invested enough to care who wins. If I was in America would I vote ..not sure ......but as like many I have very little faith in politics these days. I didn't even vote in the UK election. |

Only several years later to have gotten a marriage proposal and then being everything about this marriage and wanting to make that their world. I didn't really care for the negative chatter, but I thought how sad that they thought of relationships that way and didn't understand how to make the most of life. I asked some questions but there's no point in trying to change what I can't change. Not that I had a clue then, anyway ![]() Anyway, I didn't have any real expectations. Years later I saw her, that boyfriend proposed. She did seem to enter into a strange mindset where she looked forward to the future, but also anxious and just seemed somewhat more depressed compared to before. Maybe she realized what her past had been or maybe she wasn't actually looking forward. I didn't pry. She was trying to get her life straight and that was a huge focus. Her very much not an asshole then boyfriend was trying to help her including his family to try to be her rock, but she seemed super anxious about the future because she spent her high school years literally *******ing around (her words) and staying up all nights clubbing and drinking. She was clearly humbled by something. Now she had to catch up really quickly. She was a senior for 3-4 years, ffs. I don't think people always stay the same and I hope she figured things out. People are obviously not perfect and I get rid of that expectation as quickly as possible when I meet people. That doesn't make them any person any less of an asshole who engages in that behavior. I'm not going to say "You get 'em, girl!". However, I think on average, people who are like this are just more honest about it. Whether they're honest with themselves, is a whole different matter. I don't actually know and I leave that between other people and God. But men who talk like this remind me of that girl and I think they're both the same animal, using other people to get their way and not really thinking about the consequences. Sort of like with Trump and the constant venom. It may temporarily feel good to constantly be the star of your own show, but it gets that person in trouble eventually. To that end, I don't really care who the President has slept with. I think that as long as he didn't break the law (rape, drugging people, etc), then it's not really my business. If they put up two people as candidates and one was more closer to my moral ethics or whatever, way of thinking that translated into good policy, obviously I'm more inclined to vote for them. But I'm not a fool. I know people really can't be held to an ideal standard without at least some part of the illusion breaking apart. We get it wrong in the US when we focus too much on personality traits. Every single one of these human beings have massive baggage or have done something that will offend a good portion of the public. It's just a matter of it becoming public and offending the "wrong" people... and whether they can survive that without imploding, I guess. There are many more who are quite happy to play risky games with romance and use their sexual prowess to get a foot in the door. Some people would do it just for literally attention. It's present in all aspects of life, from the lowly Starbucks employee on up. The more competitive people feel, the more this behavior will play out. Politics is as competitive as real sports, so I think that aspect of trying to "get one over" will never change. Whether it be sex or exchange of information with the expectation of political favors... Quote:
![]() Trump can be reassured by this, but should be really concerned as well, that Kamala is still fairly opaque for most people and there's so much projection going on around her image... It's to her advantage because she can possibly puppy eye her way past all his crap and secure a win that way. Trump's garbage is all out there in the open and there's no sanitizing his image. But that's the advantage he has... everyone pretty much knows exactly what he is. So there's no surprises. For Kamala, unless something pretty major comes out or she flubs hard during a debate or campaign event, nobody will be able to be figure it out what is what within that short period of a time. She can make all the promises she wants, but virtually anything she says is unvetted as to her ability to deliver on said promises. Most will be projecting whatever it is they think she could be as President in their vote, as there's no evidence how she'll be really, at least until the day she is sworn in... that may be good enough indeed for a lot of people as it's a sad state of affairs, US politics that is... |

Tbh, Trump was barely ahead of Biden in the first debate.
Heck! In some areas he was still worse than Biden imo. Anyone that can basically string a sentence together will wipe the floor with Trump in a debate I think. However I do get that votes are pretty much on lock for a lot of people regardless of who wins the debates.

1. I can't think of one lads chat where a guy has said "I like to grab her Pussy, and there's nothing she can do about it" because the guy would get decked in the face as soon as he says that ****, because it isn't banter to most people. 2. Are we really comparing Trump and Kamala being judged for what their family members did, to something that Trump actually said?

I understand some may not want Kamala to get into office because she may "set a bad example", but that horse left the barn long ago. Kamala didn't invent the habit of climbing the ladder using her body, but it would be a shame if she ends up being the intellectual shell that some suspect (I don't know) and our actual first female President ends up being "just that". Not quite the stellar figure we had hoped and dreamed of decades ago, but probably what America actually deserves, atm. Trump's own words should be used against him since he literally affirmed how he himself has benefited from this ladder-climbing behavior... it's just in the reverse, in this case. So I don't think that an argument against Kamala about climbing ladders, etc, can really even work coming from Trump if he is literally on audio bragging about how he was able to get away with so much because of people's tendency to gravitate towards people in power. He's basically saying they were totally compliant, thus it's fine, but I don't hear the argument where it's supporting the problem from the other direction as well... and that's a result of the breakdown in humility in our culture and rising problems between men and women, imo. I'm not sure how that will ever heal. I'm far more concerned about that than I am about race relations, for example, because men and women do tend to mutually set the goalposts in society (otherwise, why bother the other sex constantly to "do moor!!"?) ...and if both are entering into disaffection with one another for whatever reason, then it becomes difficult to move away from any past hurts, societally... whatever the source (racial, etc). Sorry, Feminists/Men's right people... y'all kinda need each other to get your basic demands met for change, imo. There comes a point where the other side simply won't cooperate anymore and I think that's where we're at currently and part of why we experience so many issues... Kamala becoming President symbolically won't do anything for the above except to check a checkbox on someone's checklist... but I would hope that it takes the temperature down at least enough that people start to focus on each other rather than worrying about what "those others" are doing to stab them in the back... there's just such a problem with even creating simpler trust. Consider increasingly more don't even communicate directly about important matters now. It's all filtered. We literally use stalking websites to "check out" people before real conversations start to even happen and they're usually snuffed out before they can begin. And who knows what actually governs our attention spans and perceptions through those means.... but it's certainly not human connection. Anyway, /tangent over. I wouldn't exactly call it a chat that the likes of Ash, Winston, or Marlon would've had during BB15 for example, like Alf is trying to claim.

Rep. Brian Mast
@RepBrianMast I fought and bled for the American Flag. My friends lost their lives in battle for the American Flag. And when they came home, the American Flag was draped over their caskets. Yet, the people Kamala Harris is courting burn the American Flag. Shame |
