This woman is turning into a political nightmare for the Country and voters.
People haven't a clue where they likely are with her. No wonder the main word most people use to describe her when asked to in one word. Is UNTRUSTWORTHY. What on earth were Con members thinking voting for this gross leader. |

This may seem cynical but I think they did it to make Bojo look good, if Rishi had got in he would have wiped the floor with Bojos legacy There is just no way that this woman was the best person for the job and the vote was much tighter than we were lead to believe, with the media saying she would win by a landslide

Honestly though she's hopeless. Absolutely hopeless. That should please me in my political position but at this time of crisis to have Truss in place is extremely worrying. For me Penny Mordaunt would have been seen as far more competent with far less ministerial experience than Truss has had in the last decade. However Sunak would have certainly been the better choice in my view too. From even just his experience of the crisis of the pandemic. To be fair I can't really fault much he did and set out to do as Chancellor during that crisis. |

truss thinks that the poll numbers will improve after the u turn, they won't, and then tory mp's will simply vote her out and bring in a "safe" pair of hands

Not BUT. She's thick as two short planks. I hope she will be gone by the end of the week, or next week. And Sunak put in as PM. After all, he did come second. |

Either Truss should seek an endorsement from the electorate or be left there until the next general election comes. No way should another leader and PM be chosen at this time by only Con MPs and only Con party members. Denying the electorate any say at all whatsoever. |

It hasn't happened anytime in modern politics I'd imagine the media reaction would be out of control. People voted sadly for Johnson and his policies. One change fair enough. Another no way. If they went for another leadership change,an election shouldn't be denied to the electorate. It's a complete turnaround of who and what the electorate voted for in 2019. Which can't be right or acceptable to be done TWICE. Not a chance. |

I would have thought it sensible to get rid of a leader that is utterly incompetent and replace with a new one |

There's no precedent either for any party OR government changing the PM twice while in government. In opposition yes. However no way should the electorate be denied TWICE to have their say to approve a new PM. Personally I think any change of PM while in government should have to seek his or her own mandate from the people within a year of the change. Under any government that is too. |

Also, they didn't change PM twice within one government - the last election was in 2019, the PM "only" changed once since then.

If they were to change Truss for another as bots stated. That WOULD be changing PM twice in one governmental period. Indeed the whole country doesn't vote in the party leaders constituency. You can't have it all ways though. In saying people in the red wall seats voted for Johnson. Also saying people in those seats voted against Corbyn. Of course the leader influences across the Nation how they vote as to how well any leader of a party is liked. That's clear. |
