In as much as this may be true, the point I made was that we dont know her. I certainly didn't know this about her. This is why she doesn't stand much chance against Trump who we know all too well. Poor choice and a testament to the state of democratic politics in America - They cant even beat a convicted felon, twice impeached president who to this day still hasnt conceded defeat in 2020. I think you're missing the tides of the sociology on this one - the things you're describing are part of what a large proportion of his voter base actively likes about him, rather than a "can't even". They're part of his appeal to people who have spent their lives feeling underfoot and pathetic. "Heh heh heh that'll show 'em!" by-proxy lapped up by petty, frustrated middle-aged school children.

I think everyone sees that Trump appeals to a certain type of voter. However, there are not enough of these middle aged children to get him into office. I contend that a better candidate in 2016 would have beaten Trump. I'm embarrassed for the dems that they cant find a better candidate than the anonymous VP with a dodgy record as a prosecutor who's only policy when running for office herself was that she was a black woman and thus black people should vote for her. I remember the first debate where Tulsi Gabbard took her head off. VP Harris surrounded herself with black women in every press shot. It so obvious that I was a little embarrassed for her.

As you might have gathered, I'm no fan of VP Harris and I dont give her much chance come november

I didn't say those things are specifically what they like about him - I mean that the aspects of his general character described by those things are what they like about him (anti-establishment, "a rebel", "sticking it to the man"). Impeachments, charges, bucking the established conventions /etiquette and refusing to concede, all plays into that image of him that they like. It adds to his cult of personality, so opponents focussing on it is not going to do anything at all. Heck... the last of those (refusal to concede) he clearly did as a stunt because he knew his voters would like it. .

You'd be better off asking Alf how - if it's true that the Dems are controlling everything and can manipulate the results to their whims, as they claim they did in 2020 - Trump managed to win in 2016... and why they believe he'll win in 2024.

Yes. But these "concerns" can dissipate rather rapidly and conveniently based on needs by the party. I take Democrat's stance on race and criminal justice about as seriously as any Republican insistence they care about the national deficit.
