Zizu, PLEASE. You do the same thing in the football threads. Ali, Marcello, every single HM is up for criticism. It wasn't toxic towards Ali, it was a dislike. She wasn't very likeable, IN MY (other's) OPINION. That's what BB was all about. You take the rough with the smooth. Ali is no angel, she's a professional victim, again, IMO. You need to get over it man. Some people could see through Ali, many others liked her. She won. Get over it.

Death threats are disgraceful obviously but you are completely diluting the strength of palpable HATE posted about Ali every day .. one person posted well over a hundred negative comments about Ali in one single day !


Maybe you simply didn’t see all of the comments aimed at Ali which is feasible if you didn’t care for her or were simply disinterested .

You misunderstand what I am saying. I don't need to track other people's internet breadcrumbs to feel like I know them better than whatever my own general assessment of them was from less artificial means. I think Marcello is the definition of a mixed bag but I also don't think it is wrong to speculate on any inherrent bias of ITV with 3 winners checking a load of those boxes. I would argue it has to do with the makeup of ITV's general audience and that BB's appeal is not as universal as some would like to think.

The same accusations about production bias were and are often made the other direction when it comes to would be anti-Feminists on the show and explaining how are they doing so well. There is a grain of truth to all of it. Just as the whole pro-left bias is often a grift to monetize the emotional reactions of that audience, so is grifting off those who react from the other end of that filter.

Whatever I think of the validity, it does not change that all people are prone to projecting their own neurosis into things no matter what is being said and discovered online because anonymity encourages outrageous overreactions over deep thought. The shows are edited to more or less take advantage of the same thing... Marcello was a participant so it is reasonable he is still booty-tickled and might have experienced that he and others were treated as props.

If Ali had lost, she might have felt taken advantage of also with any distress that was caused and none of that is unreasonable with the way they hacked apart the BB model to get audiences to react to certain HM depictions a certain way. But none are true victims as they chose to go on a highly edited TV show to try to get whatever message across..

Regarding the homophobic comment liking, Marcello has said on a TikTok Live that he didn't like any of those. When his friend highlighted what was being said on social media, he logged straight back on to see if he had done anything by accident, but there was nothing showing on his account.

Ali said in her interview that she felt / perceived that ‘they’ wanted her out for the duration and she had to choose between quitting and working through the animosity - that description doesn’t remotely resemble your take on things so I take her version given she was the one living through it .

I have never taken part in anything below the belt about Ali, the only thing that I did was come to a conclusion based on my observation of her behaviour, that's not the same as calling a Housemate a Paedophile or wishing death on him.

And I have actually defended Ali multiple times on this Forum when some members would make out that she fancied Khaled.

Obviously I am less angry about that in comparison to Marcello's stuff because I do believe that death threats and libel are more serious offenses.

And during the vampire task Ali and Dean made it clear they were gunning to get Marcello and (in Dean's case) Khaled out. It worked both ways.

Anyway, as this thread is meant to be about Marcello, I will reiterate he has denied liking any of the homophobic/homophobic agenda posts on social media, and they're not showing as 'liked' to him.

He got it good because he was well liked by all his housemates, even when his personality was being squashed by Ali, he didnt kick up a fuss, he just toned it down around her delicate ears. He was ignored for tasks, often the last to be picked, or simply missed out on rewards as the unchosen one. Still hardly recieved any nominations though, which in itself is a strong indictment of a likeable character, and one that's easy to live with.

So I think it's unfair to say how easy his ride was, as he must have felt hurt and isolated at times when ignored for tasks etc. Hs personality seen him through, not favours from big brother.

Ali on the other hand, well she was just the exact opposite of marcello, with big brother having to give her a helping hand to get through to the end because her attitude and personality stank, hence the weekly nominations.

Pity the show has been taken over by the LGBT viewers, and the obvious agenda the show actually has to show one side more virtuous than the other.

It's all bollocky wank these days..
