Default Birmingham UK Bin Strike : Rats are loving this

[Birmingham has descended into a
wasteland plagued by rats after
bin workers went on strike and
left huge piles of rubbish overflowing
onto the streets.

Nearly
400 council bin workers in the city walked
out indefinitely today
as part of an escalating
dispute over jobs and pay.
The Unite union has warned bin disruption
in the city could stretch into the summer
after the refuse workers voted in favour
of extending their strike mandate

over the council's use of temporary
labour to 'undermine' their industrial action.]

[Police officers on hand as members of Unite
go on the picket line at
Birmingham City Council's Atlas Depot
in Tyseley, Birmingham today]

Go Ahead Fellas
Enjoy your food.

Yes you can smell it.

Just like the police and firemen ambulance drivers they should NOT be allowed to strike.

Militant far left unions are driving this

It's unacceptable. Paying for a service but not getting it

I know people dont like 45 minute videos.

But if you have an opinion you should watch this.

And listen closely in discussions about "why here"

My favourite quote round about 23 minutes...a female voice.. "his bin, someones nicked his bin"

A confused white british woman dressed in Arabic clothing. Rather funny and amusing to see.

You could argue that it's right wing unions trying to put pressure on the council.

Pathetic Deputy PM Rayner
in Birmingham, claims a big offer now on the table?

SkyNewsHD reporter then asked her
about their £8,000 lost on each of them?

She just said it is a great new offer?

I think this is horrendous.

Nowhere should be left in this state and IF the local authority cannot sort it out or the now elected Mayor's.
Then government really needs to step up and take control.

This is really disgraceful and Labour are rather fortunate the elections in Birmingham aren't this year.
What a ridiculous, unnecessary and shocking situation this is.

That will not solve this.

If you were told your wages will be reduced by £8,000
a year would you be happy?

Well they could easily clear all the rubbish away within a week or two ..

The huge population of cat sized rats will still be alive and breeding but that’s a whole new problem

The same Councillers awarded themselves a 5.7 per cent pay rise in January due to the extra work and pressure

https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/new...uncil-30885307

Thought the Council was bankrupt, surely there should be a freeze on their salaries?

Is that related to dinner ladies moaning that they don't get paid the same as binmen or something?

it went to court and the court agreed and yes that is why the council is bankrupt but not bankrupt enough to deny themselves a payrise while expecting some bin men to take an 8k a year cut

Today, the Stupid Labour Council
still only offered the deal with - £8K missing each year.

The Union rejected it.

Now, another week until they try again.

The Union Leader said
put the original pay back
and they will be back at work, right away.
