Oh I agree that they were there to play a game, I just don't think most of them bothered. As I said I think the only people that played were Jemmett, Gary and Tom...the rest didn't really do that much I don't think, hence why it felt more like a hybrid between BBUK and BBUS and is IMO why I think I fell in love with the format since I was eased into it with familiar BBUK aspects (I think the house took a lot of inspiration, the missions and food comps too, and the cast felt very BBUK like as well I think), had I started with BB15 I think I'd have been put off for life

What I will say though is that having watched a load of the feeds, I think almost half of the cast had seen BBUK? Alec and Peter are big fans, Gary and Andrew had seen it too and I think Suzette is a fan as well. There were quite a few in depth discussions about BBUK actually which was weird to hear but Alec was always pointing out how stuff the producers were doing in BBUK were being inspired from BBUK and saying he thought it was a good thing.

I still agree with a comment he made during the round table too in that even though Gary may have come back, the Canadian vote was still a competition and it's one he won so that has to be respected. He said that this wasn't BBUS, it was BBCAN and if that was an element of their show then that has to be taken into consideration and I agree really. If the PowerShifts continue next year then I think it's safe to say they want it to be a hybrid which is fine IMO, it just means it's a different kind of game with more of a popularity contest aspect and so that should be remembered when viewing I think. I'm a big fan of the pure BBUS game but if BBCAN wants to create some half-way kind of game then I think that's cool too, it's then three totally different formats for me to watch each year (strictly popularity with BBUK, strictly strategic with BBUS and a mixture of both with BBCAN).

many fair points in there. and yea, i think real BB fans do seek out all BB versions (how do you think i got here?) so I agree they probably did watch a lot of BBUK and BBAUS aswell.

But don't you find it a little annoying when people like Peter and Alec pretend like they are playing a "brilliant" BBUS style game, when actually they played a HORRIBLE game? that annoyed me so much, and that's why i'm really intent on eliminated Peter from this game, because i just thought he was so full of ****, pretending to be the greatest player ever when he did absolutely nothing to warrant that title.

i forgive Alec because he's hot. but Peter must go.

I can understand why you would but personally no because I found their delusion hilarious and Peter's self-important shouty DR's had me in stitches. He made good TV because he was an embarrassment, if Josiah had instructed us to vote solely on game in this I'd be happy to minus him but I think these games are always about who you supported/liked and since I base that more often than not on who brings or brought the most to a show, he was a favourite of mine.

That's difficult because neither were great, Howie was the weakest of his alliance but I still liked him because he was funny. Howie's HoH basically cemented that one of the Nerd Herd would win since dull Maggie got into his head and he agreed to put James up which ended up reducing the Sov Six's numbers by the time the jury cut occurred, and that annoyed me but I guess that's testament to Maggie's game as much as that pains me to admit.

I do think Alec and Peter had some sway on the house votes in the early weeks as part of the Quatro alliance they had with Emmett and Tom, but I don't really think they did much else so this is a difficult question. I would say they're on the same poor level if you ask me, but then Howie aligned himself with better players (even if they were outnumbered the sovs were the better players than the Nerd Herd where only Maggie had any game) so maybe him? I don't know, what do you think?

well Howie was better than Peter (aligning himself with 2 of the greatest BB characters ever (jannelle and kaysar) but also because he didn't just hide in the diary room, he played IN THE HOUSE, and that's what we never saw from Peter, he was never playing IN THE HOUSE, he tried to pretend he was "playing" Jillian, but no, he was being played BY Jillian. It was so pathetic how he was such a puppy around her, and thought they were gonna be a showmance, she played him SOOO hard.

At least Howie knew his place in his alliance, he was the attack dog, and he was far more entertaining than Peter imo, and he was also a better game player by have a strong alliance, imo.

I think you're thinking of Liza? He only thought him and her were gonna be a showmance, he hated Jillian

I agree that Howie was the better houseguest, but I still think Peter was a bit character in BBCAN. The show was all about Gary, Jemmett, Peter and Alec, Suzette and then to a lesser extent Tom and Liza. The rest were all supporting characters but that doesn't mean I don't love them all, I'm struggling to minus any of them tbh I'd rather this be a plus only game

You're right, it was Liza that made him look like the fool. sorry all Canadians look alike to me :P (j/k)[i need to put the j/k just incase Kizzy thinks i'm being racist]

if we are just judging personalities, i loved Talla and Gary and Topaz. I think they were the most genuine personalities.

Alex though surely if you're voting solely on game in this then there's other people that should go before Peter? Yes his game was crap but the likes of Danielle and Aneal, even Talla tbh who was just carried along had non existent games so surely they should at least go first if that's what you're voting on?

Purely on game the final three in this should be Emmett, Gary and Jillian

but because i'm voting based on game, that creates a game in and of itself

I won't tell you who I want to win this game.

I agree but I still wish Gary, Topaz, Peter and Alec had worked together it came so close to happening I remember, but Topaz and Alec had trust issues and that's what prevented it IIRC

I only slept for four hours actually. But I'm sorry it's not fair for me either, whilst I had to go bed you had the whole of the night UK time to minus him so I woke up with him having lost loads of points, it's the same thing...I couldn't do anything about that since I had to sleep while it was still evening for you. This is the problem when there's time zone differences.

I could only agree to that had you not been voting every hour whilst I slept in the night just gone, but you were so it wouldn't be fair if you got let off but I didn't. Sorry
