And swearing is only 'wrong' if you are the type of person that likes to get pissy over a four letter word, really. Personally, to quote John "I couldn't give a rip"...because, really, it's just a four letter word. There's far worse things like paedophiles, murderers and rapists that I would try my best to protect my children from. Honestly, a four letter word that they're going to end up saying at some point in their life is not the biggest of my concerns, nor should it be for anyone. It's not going to kill them...
It's not about the PC brigade or complaining to Ofcom... it's about having manners and consideration for the feelings of others. I happen to quite like swearing, so long as it's being done by someone with a wide vocabulary and in the right company I think swearing can be highly creative. However, thinking you can just use bad language in any situation makes you seem kind of immature.

As do I, but I'm not going to get pissy and throw my toys out of the pram if someone who doesn't live up to those standards swore.

It's got nothing to do with 'being immature'...it's a word. You know...like 'wall' or 'cat.

It might have a meaning but Jeez...who cares? There's far more important things to be worrying about in this world than a word.

But whatever floats your boat, I guess...

No, it's not a word like Cat or Wall. And you can swear to your heart's content as far as I'm concerned. If, however, I you were were swearing and I had my young neices with me, I would care. In fact, you and I would have to have a conversation about it. Similarly I don't want to turn on the TV and hear someone eff and blind on my telly halfway thought the day.

Yes, there are worse things going on in the world. But that doesn't mean I want to hear someone who can't control themselves be ill-mannered enough to swear in front of kids. Or me, for that matter. I don't want to hear it on the telly during the day.

I have no idea where you're going with the boat floating thing.

Do you realise it doesn't matter anymore? They will hear it and say it regardless. If not now then tomorrow, next month, next year, when they grow up, etc. It really does not make the slightest bit of difference whether they hear swearing or not anymore. We're not living in the 19th Century.

Parents should be protecting children from the real dangers in life, not four letter words.

Because that's all it is, really. A four letter word. It's not important. No word is. They're just...words.

What difference does it make whether it's day or night?

People swear in real life during the day, people swear in real life during the night...what's the difference?

jack, can I ask , do you have kids

for me the swearing stuff is simply manners and having respect for others and something I try to teach my kids to try and have. If you teach them that then they are less likely to go down wrong paths imo

I know there are far worse things in the world than a four letter word and I am not stupid enough to think my kids will never use them, but at 9 and 12 they dont yet ( they are still at the poo stage) and i prefer them not to see it on the box for an ex inmate trying to look cool and hard when we all know, except his few fans that remain, he aint

No such thing as slipping up round here jack.

We are amongst the elite who never do anything wrong ever. The ones who can comment on every imperfection/mistake and make it out to be the end of the world... because they are infact godly themselves.

An accident plenty of others easily avoid. I never ever swear in front of my parents. Elsewhere Im a foul mouthed cu nt.

See, its called self control. Really not that hard. Especially for just a few minutes.

And I dont think its a huge crime. Just one more example of what an absolute tool he is. Outside of BB he is utterly useless.

Go home, Skippy.

I try not to swear infront of my Mum still now... My other half wouldn't dream of swearing infront of his Mum as when he was younger he did & she put a bar of soap in his mouth... it did the trick though...
